11:49 pm - Wow man, its been a looong time... I forgot the password to my livejournal, so i can't get onto it from my laptop, or any computer but the one i'm on right now so once i lose the password on here...i'll never be able to post again
anyways...i was reading through some old entries and i realized how cool it is that i have 4+ (wow) years of memories in here
so yeah, now I'm in college, done with my first term at University of Oregon, hard to believe i was a frosh in high school when i started this my life has gotten a lot more green since i last posted, but i like it, in fact, once im done with this that's what i'll be doin...
the first term of college was awesome, though i am still waiting to find a group of friends i can be with all the time...i like that more than a bunch of less-close friends kinda how it is now
i have a whole month of break ahead of me, but for the first time in my life, im not really any more happy than i was in school crazy
so yeah, here's to livejournal, memories, and the end of 2007! its been a good year

03:15 pm - Philosophy I am my thoughts, my feelings, and my instincts. Instincts are but the collection of knowledge from all history of mankind. My mind is one with all other minds throughout history: Abraham Lincoln, Gandhi, and Hitler. My accomplishments are at once my own and everyones. My insecurities, my weaknesses; they are nothing but my own strengths and traits turned bad. Any weakness can be turned into a strength.
When a person dies, there is 6-12 minutes of brain activity after the body actually dies. During this time, the brain enters a dream state. Now, if a dream feels like an hour but takes only 5 seconds, how long could those 12 minutes feel? Eternity is relative to the one experiencing it. Einstein proved this scientifically, my mind proves this logically. What if afterlife was nothing but our minds leaving the time-track that we know, and entering one that we could never have imagined? All religions could have it right and wrong at the same time, but the funny thing is, no one will ever know until they are proven right. If they are wrong, it wont matter anyways.
It took millions of years for the worm to become the ape. It took thousands of years for the ape to become the human. It took less than ten thousand to go from the Agricultural revolution to the scientific revolution to now. Evolution is telescoping at a fantastic rate. If it keeps up, we will start seeing evolutions of epic and unimaginable proportions happening yearly. Or everything will fall backwards. But what decides what is backwards and what is forwards?
We are made to decide every day who we will support, who we will condemn; who we will love and who we will hate. What decides this for us? Is it free will or outside influence? What is free will? Is it the ability to control ones body and soul into making their own decisions? Is it the choice to follow a set plan, or forge your own? Just because your life may be predetermined doesnt mean it still isnt a surprise to you. What is predetermined to God is still unmade to you. I make my own choices, and by doing that i solidify what fate thought it decided for me.
As i type these words, and as you read them, your brain is firing electrical impulses at thousands of miles per hour over extremely short distances. These impulses travel across the great plains of your body and form every action you ever do. This is all we have ever known, and it is what we call consciousness. Consciousness as we know it is only electrical impulses firing in certain orders. What happens when our brain can no longer do that? Are we dead, or does our consciousness just find another way to exist? Near death experiences have shown us that consciousness as we know it may just be one of many ways for our minds to exist. The body is a prison for our souls, a way for it to express itself tangibly. A prison to one person is a refuge to another. Once our minds escape our bodies, the body goes from a refuge to a prison. People who have died and been brought back have known things that they should not have known. One man asked for his dentures back from the nurse who took them out before surgery, while he was under anesthetic. There is no way for him to have "seen" her take them out, but when the mind leaves the body, it is reluctant at first. It tries to conform to what the body is used to, and then eventually moves away. This is what the afterlife may be.
Confidence is the most powerful human emotion, because a person has complete control over it. Love, hate, and anger are like powerful weapons that one can never control. Confidence is like a ladder that allows us to reach potentials of the mind that were previously out of reach.
The most powerful weapon yet discovered is the human mind.

08:31 pm - Just some updates Its been a while, and Zaq wanted me to update
1. i sent in my letter of intent to Oregon, so im gonna be a duck for sure! im visiting april 20th for Duck Days, and im really excited
2. Im going to Reno instead of State Solo-Ensemble, which i qualified for. Im also going to Victoria instead of NFTY spring, which is kinda sad, but thats how life works sometimes
3. Graduation is 2 and a half months away. wow.
4. I applied for a job at Sky Nursery, which the guy said that once the weather clears up, or in a few weeks, ill be one of the first people he calls. That was about a week and a half ago, so hopefully soon. It pays 9 dollars an hour, involves heavy lifting (to build muscles) and is mostly outside (to get a tan). Pretty good sounding job to me
5. Im not going to Israel with the temple, or Kalsman for camp this summer. I am, however, hopefully going on 2-4 road trips, along with some family stuff.
6. im really ready for graduation, and college next year. however, its pretty nice not having any homework, and getting to see my friends all the time now with little else to do
Happy Passover everyone Current Music: Everlong-Foo Fighters
